Meftech 2019
Meftech is a room full of people deciding what their branch network will look like in five years. That made it the right place to show the thread AU has been pulling since 2007: every year, one more thing a customer used to queue for gets finished by a machine.
The line-up was arranged in that order, from taking cash in, to handing a card over, to accepting a payment anywhere.

What we took with us.
Bulk note deposit
The category AU introduced to the Kingdom in 2007, where a customer feeds a handful of notes and the machine counts, validates and credits them.
Multi function kiosks
The 2016 step, where a kiosk issues a card instantly instead of scheduling a second visit to the branch.
TETRA powered terminals
The 2018 generation of payment terminals, connected devices running merchant software rather than card readers with a menu.
Acceptance credentials
EMV since 2008 and contactless since 2014, both brought to the Kingdom by AU, with the scheme and local approvals behind them.
